Taiwan President Mr. Shui-Bian Chen inspected Cigu several times and appreciated the concept of building Taiwan Salt Museum. Mr. Shui-Bian Chen granted the financial assistance of NT$ 10 million through Council for Cultural Affairs (CCA) in order to execute this Taiwan Salt Museum Cultural Zone Project. Mr. Huan-Jhih Su, the Tainan County Magistrate, considered that a fully integrated business strategy was necessary to attract the tourists since the business operation of a museum was complicated and costly. The management of the museum was outsourced.
