Announcements
1. The Fire Department’s report on fire safety measures in KTV and other similar places. (refer to written sources for details)
Decision: Approved for reference filing
Mayor’s Remarks:
(1) Since the fire broke out at Cashbox Partyworld KTV Linsen outlet in Taipei on April 26, the Fire Department of Tainan City Government has carried out comprehensive inspection on KTVs and other similar places in Tainan. I really appreciate their efforts.
(2) Fire safety equipment, such as fire alarms, is donated by a number of individuals and organizations in the city to be provided for households at a disadvantage. Such equipment can send alarm to citizens as it detects fire, and buy more time for citizens to take refuge or for rescue teams to arrive. If the quantity is not enough, the Department should procure more as soon as possible so that we could protect the lives and property safety of our residents.
2. The Water Resources Bureau’s report on water information. (refer to written sources for details)
Decision: Approved for reference filing
Mayor’s Remarks:
The utmost priority now is the fight against COVID-19. Aside from water used for disease prevention, initial water rationing measures should be implemented according to the latest alert level issued by the central government. All bureaus should find ways to reduce water usage to meet the goal.
