Tainan City Government announced two newly confirmed cases (Case #11100, Case #11102) on June 6.
Case #11100 is a male in his fifties and also the contact of Case #5645 who was announced to be positive on May 26. Case #11100 visited a clinic when starting to have a fever and dry throat on May 31. Since there was no improvement of his symptoms, he then visited a hospital for specimen collection and testing on June 2 and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case on June 4.
Case #11102 is a female in her sixties who had stayed in a hospital in Northern Taiwan for treatment (not related to COVID-19) for a week. After being discharged from hospital, she had lived with her relatives (four of them were tested positive for COVID-19) in New Taipei City until May 28. As a result, Case #11102 started home isolation from June 4 and then underwent specimen collection and testing arranged by the Public Health Bureau. She was confirmed as a COVID-19 case on June 5 but hasn’t experienced any symptoms.
