Tainan City Government announced a newly confirmed case (Case #11940) on June 9. Case #11940 is a female in her fifties who lives in Danei District. She is a relative in-law of the confirmed Case #7610 in New Taipei City. She and her husband had been to Northern Taiwan by car to take her granddaughter back to Tainan on May 22. Her granddaughter (Case# 11886) was confirmed as a COVID-19 case afterwards, but is classified as a case in New Taipei City based on her place of residence.
Case #11940 started to cough on June 6 and was transferred to a hospital by a clinic; she was then confirmed as a COVID-19 case on June 8. Her footprints are listed as the appendix below.
