On Jan. 26, Tainan City Government announced the footprints of a newly confirmed case. Case #18561, a male in his sixties who lives in Shanhua District, is the husband of Case #18533 (announced on Jan. 25). He tested negative with the antigen rapid test on Jan. 24 but started to feel discomfort in his throat on Jan. 25. He was referred to a hospital for specimen collection since his wife was confirmed as a COVID-19 case; he then also was confirmed as a COVID-19 case.
