On Feb. 18, Tainan City Government announced two confirmed cases. Case #19948, a female in her thirties who showed no symptoms and has completed her primary series vaccination. Since she has hung out with Case# 19816 (a case from other city who was confirmed as a COVID-19 case on Feb.16), she was identified to conduct home isolation and specimen collection and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case on Feb. 17 with Ct value 19.3. Her footprints are listed in the attachment. The city government urges citizens who had visited “Yu Zhou Guan Buddhism & Taoism Association” (Sec. 5, Anhe Rd., Annan Dist.) between Feb. 14 and Feb. 16. to call the disease prevention hotline 06-2880180 during this period: 15:00 of 2/18 -17:00 of Feb. 19. for better specimen collection arrangement.
Case #19949 is Case #19862’s son aged under 10 living in Guiren District. He hasn’t received any vaccines. They were identified to undergo home isolation due to their contact history with Case #19732. Case #19949’s test result on Feb. 14 was negative and he had stayed in school for a short time. However, he showed symptoms like a runny nose and fever during his home isolation period on Feb. 17; after the specimen collection, he was confirmed as a COVID-19 case with Ct value 20.91.
