Want to have a blast welcoming in 2024? Come to Tainan! The 2024 Tainan is Young Christmas and New Year & Eve Festivities Series is set to begin. On November 24, the Tainan City Government hosted a press conference to promote the event. In addition to announcing two family events and three large-scale concerts, Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che pointed out that the twin administrative centers (Anping and Xinying) will simultaneously host New Year concerts on December 31 for the first time since the Merger (of former Tainan County and City).
Huang also expressed that many Japanese friendship cities will come to Tainan next year for the Tainan 400 event series next year and therefore the city government is currently inviting Japanese fashion and pop icons to take part in the exciting Tainan New Year series activities. The Mayor sincerely invites friends from home and abroad to come welcome in the New Year in Tainan, sample all the local delicacies, and depart with plenty of unforgettable experiences.
Fairness between districts and the participation of different age groups are focuses of Tainan’s New Year & Eve Festivities Series, according to the City Government, therefore this year’s series includes two family events and three large concerts.
