In light of the extension of nationwide Level 3 alert until June 28 announced by the Executive Yuan on June 7, Tainan City Government declared that the suspension of face-to-face classes for all levels of schools will also be extended until July 2. Furthermore, in order to ensure the continuation of at-home learning despite the school closures, the city government outlined the following supporting measures:
- Final exams given to elementary students will be cancelled.
- The score of periodic assessment will be based on one’s performance before May 18, accounting for 40% of overall semester grade.
- The score of in-class assessment will be based on one’s performance in whole semester (including school suspension period started from May 19), accounting for 60% of overall semester grade.
- The reporting card and certificate of graduation for a junior high school graduate will be sent by the school through a registered mail.
- When the pandemic situation improves, schools will inform students to reclaim their certificates of elementary school graduation and personal belongings of junior high and elementary students in batches.
- Events occurring before the end of July such as summer camps for elementary students and summer courses for junior high students will all be suspended.
