The 2026 “Tainan is Young” Christmas and New Year & Eve Festivities Series is coming. Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che announced that the 2026 festivities will kick off on November 29 and run for six weeks with three family events and three large concerts. He cordially invites everyone to Tainan for fun and good food!
The “Tainan is Young” Christmas and New Year & Eve Festivities Series has now become a widely recognized city brand. The Mayor noted that when he first took office, the festivity series only had two events, and that more interesting and diverse family and large-scale activities were gradually added later to include participation from Xibei and Xinying districts. Huang stressed that while Tainan does not have the largest event budget in Taiwan, the “Tainan is Young” Christmas and New Year & Eve Festivities Series still ranks among the best in terms of excitement, diversity, and creativity.
In addition to three large-scale concerts, the event organizer and the city government’s Department of Information & International Relations announced that the 2026 Festivities Series will also feature three family events which will be held at the National Museum of Prehistory (Tainan), the Jiali Tainan Athletic Park, and the T.S. Mall Park, respectively. The family events will feature performances by Bean Theatre, Apple Theater, and Ifkids Theatre, as well as station rotation games. Everyone is warmly invited to come to Tainan to see your favorite stars, enjoy the city and its delicacies, and experience the strong culture and unique food here in Tainan.
The Tainan City Government also reminds the public that there have recently been cases in which criminals created fake “Tainan is Young Christmas and New Year’s Eve Festivities” accounts to offer jobs or recruit workers. The City Government stated that if anyone asks you to add unfamiliar LINE customer service accounts, verify money transactions, or accept vague job offers, these are very likely scams and the public should be aware of the risks. All information related to the “Tainan is Young” events will be announced on the Tainan City Government and “Tainan is Young” official websites and official Facebook fan page, and the government will continue to monitor and protect the safety of citizens while ensuring the events roll out smoothly.
