Decision: Approved for reference filing
Mayor’s Remarks:
The public urgently demands reinforcements in the social security network. With instructions from the president, the Central Government has increasingly rolled out different types of social services, including the long-term care 2.0 policy, senior meal sharing, and other social care mechanisms. Recently, many reports of child, elder, and domestic abuse have surfaced. It is imperative that measures are put in place to prevent future abuse. In addition to offering more diverse social services, extant services should also be reinforced to safeguard citizens’ safety. In addition to keeping people safe from abuse, such measures can ensure that senior citizens and children are taken care of.
