1. Currently, the vaccine coverage in Tainan is less than ideal. I urge concerned departments to continue to promote vaccinations. The Civil Affairs Bureau should provide assistance to senior citizens who have trouble making appointments or traveling to vaccine sites.
2. Monsoon and flood season is about to start. I ask concerned departments to pay particular attention to flood prevention work.
3. With summer around the corner, we can expect high temperatures and humid weather. Concerned departments should be on high alert for Dengue fever; please prevent Dengue larva from spreading by emptying containers that may gather water.

(1) Being the cultural capital of Taiwan, Tainan will host the 2022 Tainan Museum Festival despite the challenges brought by the pandemic. Museums are a great asset for the public to learn about things, as well as an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation. All are welcome to attend the 2022 Tainan Museum Festival.
(2) Tainan Art Museum and Chimei Museum are among the top three most visited museums in the country. I would like to thank the public for showing such support for Tainan’s museums. The Cultural Affairs Bureau should work with our museums to curate exhibitions and organize events that emphasize Tainan’s endeavors in cultural construction and historical preservation. Together, let us encourage the public to gain a better understanding of Tainan’s museums.

(1) Home to golden-shower trees, Hutoupi has also become a popular watersports destination with the promotion of the Tourism Bureau. According to the CECC, the number of confirmed cases in Taiwan is expected to peak in late May. In other words, we can expect a growing number of cases in the coming weeks. That being said, the public is encouraged to maintain normal outdoor activities so long as epidemic prevention measures are followed. Eating while walking is prohibited at outdoor events. When dining at fixed locations, people should also pay extra attention to COVID-safety measures, thereby minimizing the risk of spreading COVID-19.
(2) The monsoon season is fast approaching. I ask the Tourism Bureau and Water Resources Bureau to dredge drains and canals at Hutoupi ahead of time. Safety measures should be implemented on site to prevent people from slipping and falling. I also urge the public to take extra precautions to ensure their safety while enjoying the beautiful golden shower tree blossoms, and I hope that everyone who attends the 2022 Golden shower Tree Season at Hutoupi has a great time.
