Premier Su of the Executive Yuan will attend the opening ceremony of the Taiwan International Orchid Show. However, the roads that are in front of the venue are still under construction. I ask the Agriculture Bureau and Public Works Bureau to coordinate with departments that oversee the construction work. Alternatively, please liaise with the Executive Yuan and arrange an alternative transportation route to prevent damage to Premier Su’s fleet.

(1) The U-12 Baseball World Cup was postponed because of the pandemic. People from all around are looking forward to the resumption of the U-12 Baseball World Cup this year (2022). We often receive inquiries about the progress of this event. Some people have even mistakenly believed that the municipal government had not opened online ticket reservations yet, but this misunderstanding was cleared up after we explained the issue.
(2) This event is a major international competition held by the municipal government after the pandemic has eased. I trust that the Bureau of Sports and concerned departments will spare no effort to organize the U-12 Baseball World Cup, which will prepare us for hosting the National Games in 2023. Let’s handle the organization of the U-12 Baseball World Cup with positivity and diligence.

(1) Although the seventh month in the lunar calendar is Ghost Month, it is also when the Chihsi Festival (Taiwan’s Valentine’s Day) takes place. I ask the Cultural Affairs Bureau and concerned departments to brainstorm and think about how to make the Chihsi Festival special in Tainan, the cultural capital of Taiwan.
(2) The theme of the 2022 Tainan Chihsi Festival is “modern era.” Writers, poets, and bloggers have been invited to create literary works about the event and to present the depth of Tainan’s culture, which will surely increase the exposure of local businesses.
(3) The main events of the 2022 Chihsi Festival will take place at Xizhuwei Hills Cultural & Creative Park in the East District. I ask the Bureau of Transportation and Police Department to help streamline traffic and prevent congestion as a courtesy to local residents.
