In response to an indigenous case recently reported in Taiwan, Tainan City Government follows the Central Epidemic Command Center’s (CECC) regulations and enhances disease prevention measures. Taking Tainan citizens’ health as the first priority, the city government decides to postpone the upcoming Tainan Christmas & New Year’s Eve Events as follows:
1. Rock & Roll/Hip Hop at Yonghua Civic Center west plaza on December 26 (Sat.), 2020 will be postponed to January 9 (Sat.), 2021.
2. Popular Hits at Xinying Stadium on December 27 (Sun.), 2020 will be postponed to January 3 (Sun.), 2021.
With regards to the New Year's Eve Concert on December 31, Tainan City Government will follow CECC’s regulations and reinforce disease prevention measures that shall be complied with by every participant. Furthermore, Taiwan City Government will closely monitor the pandemic situation and formulate comprehensive response plans. If severe pandemic situation continues, the event might be held online instead of allowing participants to enter the venue.
