Mayor’s Remarks:
(1) I would like to thank the Market Administration Office for its report. The outsourced construction work for shopfronts along the outer edge of the West Market is scheduled to begin in mid-August. Emphasis must be placed on the safety and disease prevention measures of the construction workers.
(2) We can discuss the potential income created by the West Market at a later date. Preventing the spread of COVID-19 is our biggest focus now.
2. The Bureau of Tourism’s report on promoting disease prevention measures for travelers (refer to written sources for details)
Decision: Approved for reference filing
Mayor’s Remarks:
(1) We do not have a large number of tourists at the moment, but there are many people returning home to Tainan from cities affected by COVID-19. Please continue to promote disease prevention measures for travelers.
(2) To prevent consumer disputes, please prioritize the processing of refundable transportation tickets and tour group fees.
(3) Please proactively seek relief or subsidies from the central government to aid local hotel, tourism, and transportation businesses.
