Due to increasing number of COVID-19 cases, year-end dinners of all bureaus are cancelled. It is recommended that after evaluation, take-outs may be ordered and gathering can be held inside bureaus. Another option is to order Chinese New Year dishes set from charity groups and distribute them to all colleagues to boost local economy.

(1) Commodity prices should be stabilized during the holiday. Recently, there has been media reports on rising pork prices. Comparing to historical records, although the price is higher than last year, it remains within the price range of last decade. With that in mind, we still need to monitor the price closely to make sure it is not artificially jacked up.
(2) Tainan has a sufficient supply of produce. The Agriculture Bureau should guide agricultural products marketing corporations of the city to facilitate with the marketing and sales of jujube and other lucky fruits for new year. When selecting gifts, bureaus should consider local produce first. New Year dishes set launched by charity groups is also worth considering.

(1) The recent cluster infection at Taoyuan General Hospital has caused great concern. Aside from giving support to medical workers in Taoyuan, we should all take extra care of our own health. Although promotion of preventive measures is led by the Public Health Bureau, cooperation from all bureaus is required. In places such as night markets, convenient stores, department stores, public venues, and other crowded areas, measures should be enhanced. Regulations should be followed when handling people who refuse to cooperate with the measures or refuse to wear masks.
(2) Large crowds may appear as people are traveling back to home town before New Year; preventive work needs to be carried out effectively.
