1. When the Public Works Bureau, Water Resources Bureau, or concerned bureaus organize public construction tenders, please consider including demolishing designated structures in Fu Hsing Elementary School, East District.
2. In light of the recent tragedy that took place in Itaewon, I advise the secretary-general to convene a meeting with the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Bureau of Tourism, Department of Information and International Relations, Police Department, Public Health Bureau, and concerned departments to discuss traffic maintenance, crowd control, and emergency response and rescue plans before hosting major municipal events.

1. The Fire Department’s report on responding to ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI; refer to written sources for details)

Mayor’s Remarks:
(1) According to the report, the Fire Department has implemented rigorous training and employed proper equipment to improve its response time for rescuing people exhibiting acute myocardial infarction, stroke, or other acute cardiovascular conditions. Even though the response time is reduced by seconds, it could make all the difference. Since Tainan implemented municipal-wide 12-Lead ECGs in 2020, at least 268 lives have been saved. I would like to thank the members of the Fire Department for their dedication to saving lives. Businesses that donated 12-Lead ECGs also have my gratitude.
(2) The municipal government will continue to improve hardware, such as defibrillators while reinforcing software training. Citizen life and safety are at the top of our list of priorities.

(1) The Tainan Hakka Festival includes diverse events, making it a great chance for the Hakka Affairs Commission to promote the Hakka language. In addition to all the fun parades, the festival can also create meaningful impacts on schools and families by encouraging the Hakka community to use their mother tongue or by increasing the number of people who wish to learn Hakka.
(2) The Tainan Hakka Festival is not merely about a couple of days of events. It represents a chance for all of us to promote the use of Hakka and preserve Hakka culture. I encourage everyone to implement the spirit of this festival into everyday life rather than treat this festival as a one-off event.
